There Comes A Time....
when you just have to let go. That's what I'm learning. Time to move on from a job that is stale and stressful to one that is fresh and new. One without all the political bullshit. One where they don't take you for granted and just assume that it is your desire to turn your 24 hour work week (for which you are getting paid) into a 50 hour work week (for which you are not getting paid), even if it is only temporary (for 3-4 months?? temporary??). Time to move away from those people with whom you have such a hard time communicating. The people that make too many assumptions without looking at the facts. Growing up as a very shy individual, it's amazing to me that I can have such a strong personality now. I guess I'm a lot like my dad, in that sometimes my way is the right way and the only way. I can be very opinionated, but then again, I am usually open to listening to other people's ideas. They may not be for me and I am unwilling to accept them as a part of my life, but if they want to, they should go for it. There comes a time, however, when it's time to say, this just isn't working, and let go. So, with the beginning of a new decade (yes, I will be turning 40 shortly) and a new year, I will let go and move on. Let go of the past, live in the present and look forward to the future. I have goals in mind and I'm going to achieve them!
BTW, if you're looking for a good, part-time employee who's familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and is incredibly good with numbers (I am currently a Sales Tax Accountant), who loves a challenge, but wants a fun and friendly environment, leave me a comment. I'm looking for a new job!
