Ho Ho Ho!

Can you believe it? After last year's Black Friday fiasco where I got up at the crack of dawn and went out to the stores to come home empty handed, I made another attempt. I swore last year that I would never do it again. Never say never! I jumped out of bed at 4:30 am, sat down at the computer, looked out the window, sat down at the computer, looked out the window. After a few times of this, I decided that if I could make it out of the driveway in all the snow that had fallen, I would venture out to the stores. Well, I made it out of the driveway, picked up my mom, and within 10 minutes I had slid into the ditch. Can you believe it?? I have been driving for 24 years and I can remember only one time when I got myself stuck in the ditch. I was 16 and my neighbor Mike and I went joyriding. Bad move! Anyways, I was headed UP HILL, yes up hill, and the car started sliding. I did everything I had been taught only to end up in the ditch. Luckily I missed the tree by a couple of inches and lucky for me, I got myself out. My father's driving lessons surely paid off. The day I drove into town for my "real" driver's license, by dad grabbed the wheel (in a snowstorm) and aimed me right toward the ditch. I was able to get the car under control and since that time, I've been very confident behind the wheel...until today. The snow is now melting and I'm considering a trip to Sam's Club for some all-season tires. I'm convinced that's what I need. If that doesn't work, it's time to trade in the import for a GM product. Noooooo!

So, my Christmas shopping is almost done. Just a few more things to get for the kids and I am finished. That's a first. Shopping this year has been a piece of cake! I don't know if it's because we have a little more money or if I've been lucky in picking up what has been requested. In a few more weeks, I will have a master bath, complete with Jaccuzi tub and everything and it's paid for IN FULL! I'm loving life. Perserverence pays off and I have to say, I'm so proud of my hubby. I never thought he would be able to pull this sales thing off, but he has and he's loving it!

You have got to be kidding. You actually woke up early in the morning to go and give some store your money???

Sorry there is something wrong with this picture. As I remember the companies changed their way of doing business to get the money from the customers.

Now it seems we fight among ourselves to see who can throw away hard earned cash the fastest, even getting up at 4:00 AM.

Excuse me but this is even better than Nike getting idiots to buy shirts with its logo at a premium price. They get both publicity and 3 times the cost to produce the shirt and what does the consumer get??? a very poor quality, made in some china sweat shop shirt!!!

Goodness how we have progressed.
