I told you I was only 21!!!

So my birthday is coming up in December. Everyone is on my case about getting old. After all I'm going to be 21, give or take a few years! Actually I'm about to be the big 4-0 and everyone keeps telling me it's all down hill from here. I don't feel like I'm almost 40 and I've been telling everyone over and over again that you're only as old as you feel. I don't feel old. I've got 2 kids, one is in high school and the other starts middle school next year, but I think I'm a pretty cool mom. I pretty much let them do what they want (within reason, of course). I'm not over-protective and I think I'm pretty hip. We even listen to the same music, except my skater-boy son will sometimes turn on some gawd-awful screaming stuff that I can't stand, but other than that. Well, you get the picture. Anyways, I just found this site, took a quiz and found out how old I "really" am. Check it out!!!

You Are 21 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

I answered all of the questions honestly, too! See? I told you I was only 21!!!!

We have curb appeal!

Well, my landscaping is in and I'm not so sure I like it the way they have it. It looked really great on paper, but I'm having a hard time with the height of everything. It seems to me like it looks overgrown from the street. They used mature plants and they just seem too big. Since I'm paying them the big bucks, I think I'll have them change things. Geez, how much more do you think that will cost? I'd really like them to take 3 of the plants out of here and replace them with something a little lower in profile. Think they can do that? I guess I'll just have to call them and see. Oh yeah, they were supposed to dump some topsoil in the side yard and plant grass, but the guys said they didn't know anything about that so they packed up and left. I'm sure that's part of my proposal they gave me. It says 5 yards of topsoil and plant grass. Hopefully I'm right and they'll discover the error of their ways and come back and do it. I don't want to have to come up with more money to give them, especially since I just blew it on a couch on Saturday, but that's another story.
